The current indications for treatment of subclinical hypothyroidism are:

-- TSH>10

-- pregnancy

-- goiter

-- lipid disorder that corrects with normalization of TFTs

-- ASCAD

-- Sx's suggestive for hypothyroidism that resolve with normalization of TSH

TSH in the trimester-specific reference range

First trimester (weeks 1-12):  0.1 to 2.5 mU/L

second trimester (weeks 13-27):  0.2 to 3 mU/L

3rd trimester (weeks 28-42):  0.3 to 3 mU/L
